More about Amanda
Skin just makes sense to me.
Hi, I’m Amanda! I'm a licensed esthetician with 23 years of experience. I spent 17 years working in Hollywood and West Hollywood before coming home to the Central Valley in 2020, and now have my studio in Old Town Clovis.
After all that time in treatment rooms, I still love the same part most: someone sits down, tells me what’s bothering them, and we figure it out.
I believe in making this process as comfortable, enjoyable, and effective as possible. We're not going to make this painful and I'm not here highlight problems in your skin. I'm here to understand your goals and situation, then help you find your way to great skin.

How I ended up here
Working a high stress banking job, I was at an esthetician appointment getting my eyebrows done and she kept talking about how wonderful her clients were. I remember asking her, “People are nice to you?” She laughed and said yes! I thought that sounded pretty good!
I thought I was going to do makeup. I trained at Citrus College in 2003, and once I got a first peek into skincare, I genuinely felt like I had found my calling. I liked the combination of chemistry, repetition and problem-solving. There was a rhythm to the work, but there was always something to notice, question, figure out, or restore.
The first years were a lot of rugged salon jobs and just trying to get any time I could in a treatment room with clients to get experience and actually become good at the work. Eventually I landed at a busy Hollywood day spa, where I saw a huge number of clients and skin conditions.
The pace was intense, clientele was known, expectations were high... but the options behind the scenes were often surprisingly limited. I learned to pay attention, improve my techniques, get resourceful, and make what I had work really well.
When I eventually went out on my own, I started with very little. I bought only what I absolutely needed, reused what I already had, and built from there one client at a time. Somewhere in that process I realized something that has stayed with me ever since:
It really was me, not the stuff.
That gave me permission to be extremely selective over time. Better products when they earn their place. Better equipment when it actually helps. More time with each client. Master the techniques and the craft of skincare. And a lot less interest in doing something just because everyone else is doing it.
Now, here we are! My cozy skincare cottage in Old Town Clovis at 722 Pollasky is the culmination of 23+ years of refining the skills and continually growing my understanding of skincare, but also cultivating a relaxing experience focused on you. You gain a partner who is as interested in the good health of your skin as you are, and we go on this journey together!
I hope to see you soon.
Sincerely,
Amanda

What I work with
I’m not loyal to a product line just because I carry it. These are the brands I keep coming back to because I know them well, trust how they perform, and know where they fit.

Twenty-three years made me pickier.
The longer I do this, the more I trust fundamentals and repetition. I give something enough time to see what it actually does, keep the things I know I can rely on, and change fewer variables at once. Everyone’s skin is different, but that doesn’t mean every appointment needs to be wildly different.
Experience has made me more selective, not less curious. I still learn, test, and adjust. I just don’t confuse new with better.
